Thesis (M.A.)--Ursuline College, 2007.
The purpose of this personal process research study was to explore sarcoidosis and uveitis, chronic illnesses, and the impact on various phases of my life. This study discusses feelings I formed in response to my childhood, adolescent and adult experiences with uveitis and sarcoidosis. Most research suggests that people with chronic illnesses experience anger, loss of control and sadness regarding their illnesses. I found this to be true for me.Subjects--Topical Terms:

In completing this research, I used medical records, personal memories, created twenty-three art works, and a journal. Also, I met with a therapist in order to further explore my creative process. This process was personally beneficial. It is my belief that a process similar to my own could provide an effective coping strategy for the chronically ill population at large.
