The study utilized the Inventory on Teaching Climate and Faculty Well-Being (Walker, 1999) to measure faculty well-being and teaching effectiveness was measured through faculty self-reported comprehensive rating from their most recent student course evaluation. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed to analyze the resulting data.

The results of the statistical analysis did not find a significant relationship between community college instructor well-being and teaching effectiveness or between their teaching effectiveness and some faculty personal characteristics. The analysis between Walker's Inventory nine individual dimensions of faculty well-being show that there were significant correlations between many of these dimensions for the sample population.
