The questionnaire was given in 2 non-profit multi-social service agencies that serve low-income Hispanic women in East Los Angeles and a total of 62 women completed the questionnaire. Results showed numerous reasons for why women attend domestic violence support groups, but the leading reason women cited was expertise and helpfulness of group leader. Research limitations are identified and recommendations are made to improve future studies.
