Internet use is on the increase among college students and some are exhibiting Pathological Internet Use which is use of the internet that creates negative consequences in the students' life. This study made an assessment of attitudes towards Internet use, loneliness and their relationship with Pathological Internet Use among undergraduate students at a public university in Connecticut using a non-experimental study design. The study employed a written questionnaire that assessed general demographics, attitudes towards Internet use, loneliness, and Pathological Internet Use among this population. Findings indicate that Internet use is being initiated at much younger ages as Internet technology has progressed. The results also allude to the fact that there is very limited knowledge and awareness of Pathological Internet Use among this population that are very prone to its effects. It is also suggested that most students have never recognized this phenomenon in themselves or in others including those affected by it.
