- 130 p.
Adviser: Gail Rule-Hoffman.
Thesis (M.A.)--Ursuline College, 2007.
A model or template is presented for developing an expressive therapy setting based on Montessori principles. This study looks at a group of atypical and typical children, ages 3 to 5, in a Montessori school setting with a focus on expressive therapy, art-based assessments and art therapy activities. The researcher incorporates a sandtray cabinet among the art and play activities. A number of case studies are illustrated along with analysis of the images. The author proposes this technique could be adapted to various populations and settings.Subjects--Topical Terms:
