This study introduces a conceptual framework for teamwork in organizations, composed of five elements of teamwork: (1) Skills, (2) Collective Accountability, (3) Integration, (4) Diversity, and (5) Dialogue. The researcher maintains that if these elements are practiced effectively, the organization will have a loving environment that will enhance cooperation and participation in decision-making and, ultimately, in high quality products and services.

The study reviews a number of current models of teamwork. It also includes two qualitative case studies of two organizations, focusing on the elements of Diversity and Dialogue. The researcher found that three out of five elements covered in the research: Skills, Collective Accountability, and Integration were generally observed in the organizations studied, whereas the elements of Diversity and Dialogue were neglected in day-to-day practice.
