Women who become parents as adolescents are at a greater risk of social and economic disadvantage throughout their lives than women who postpone childbearing until their twenties. This study identified the average educational attainment achieved by the Washoe County District Health Department (WCDHD) Public Health Nursing clients who became mothers while in high school. The study also looked at the relationship between the level of education and health practices.
