The purpose of this study was to examine if a relationship exists between customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction in 109 Pizza Hut restaurants within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The questionnaires were administered by the Corporate Office of Pizza Hut. To measure the employee satisfaction variable, attributes including teamwork and atmosphere, training, supervision and customer satisfaction were used. A relationship was found between the overall employee satisfaction and the overall customer satisfaction in Pizza Hut restaurants within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. In DELCO restaurants, delivery and carry-out, all correlations were negative while in RBD/RR restaurants, dining and carry-out, all correlations were positive. Results of the study will assist restaurant managers and Pizza Hut corporate office representatives in identifying related strengths and weaknesses and courses of action to ameliorate system performance.
