Two works were produced and choreographed by the candidate (<italic> Straight To My Heart</italic>, five minutes; <italic>When The Chariots Come </italic>, five minutes), and two were student works supervised by the candidate (<italic>The Dark Side</italic>, three minutes; <italic>Changes</italic>, three minutes). Included in the project were a costume and lighting design. These works were performed at the Glendale Community College Theater in Glendale, California, on December 1–3, 2000.

520 $a <italic>Straight To My Heart</italic> was inspired by Sting's musical composition of the same title and displays the conflict between science and emotion. <italic>When The Chariots Come</italic> explores the atmosphere of uncertainty involved with death. <italic>The Dark Side</italic> delves into the depths of the human psyche, and <italic>Changes</italic> depicts the effects of one man's thoughts on his emotions. This report documents and analyzes these works and their involvement of the human spirit as expressed through the creative process of dance.
