The candidate choreographed two pieces, supervised two student pieces, designed costumes for one piece, and designed lighting for one piece presented in this concert. Desert Rose was a study in Indian and belly dance based movements and rhythm choreographed by the candidate. The second piece choreographed by the candidate, Odok, was inspired by an improvisational study on gestures. Passion, a modern solo, was a structured improvisation performed by the student choreographer. A Tribute to Mr. Brown was a group piece for eight dancers, including the student choreographer. These works are documented and analyzed in this paper.
