This study examined the effectiveness of a specific lower abdominal strength training program on total abdominal strength in healthy college-aged individuals. Thirty-nine subjects, 18-24 years old were recruited and randomly assigned to either an experimental or control group. The experimental group committed to a specific lower abdominal exercise program twice a week for a total of three weeks. All subjects' eccentric and concentric trunk flexion peak and average force values were measured and recorded on the Kin-Com at both pretest and posttest. Paired t-tests established that the strength measurements of the Kin-Com pretest to posttest were significant at the
