Based on a survey sent to 103 elementary art teachers across Connecticut, it is apparent that, although attitudes across the country may be quite diverse, those of elementary art teachers who responded to the survey are somewhat similar. There is agreement that computers and technology should be included in the elementary art room but a concern about fitting the technology into the current art curriculum. For those who do not see the importance of including computer technology in the art room, the reasons tend to range from lack of administration support to lack of knowledge to a fear that the computer will replace traditional media. An included lesson plan gives a practical example of how the computer technology in an elementary art lesson can enhance traditional media while teaching new media.
