Thesis (M.A.)--Texas Woman's University, 1991.
The problem for this study was to analyze data collected on colors of uniforms of Texas 5A public high schools football team wins and losses for 5 years and to apply the findings to Wagner's Color Theory and its relationship to interior design. A statistical analysis was done after collecting data from the Texas Coaching Directory for five consecutive years. Wins and losses were recorded. A standard was established with percentages as a common denominator. The mean wins and losses for each color combination was figured for individual years as well as for the five years combined. A One-way ANOVA was computed for the five year study. In this five year longitudinal study, the black and white uniform percentage mean was higher than the means for all other uniform colors. Black and orange were just the opposite and finished with the losing percentage mean.Subjects--Topical Terms:
