A Life in Accord with Christianity and Taoism engenders A Master of Arts thesis which shares the author's experience in having implemented both Christian and Taoistic principles as a guide in life. The author, a death row prisoner, discusses concepts pertaining to Christian Orthodoxy and Taoistic philosophy, points to divergent ideas between these belief systems, and discloses the results of accepting Christ, living by the Spirit, and following the Way of Tao. These results include transcending ordinary concepts of the desirable and undesirable, an occurrence which has provided freedom from suffering and the freedom to return to our authentic way of being. This thesis does not urge others to follow any particular way of life but instead encourages deep contemplation and reader generated conclusions.
