This book is a collection of articles of a multidisciplinary nature all contributing to a theme of changes in innovation and innovation processes. It creates new knowledge about crucial issues in the innovationenvironment which form critical intelligence in innovation strategies for firms anddecision makers. This is performed with the help of a unique database on individual innovations applying the object approach. This book contributes in three distinct ways in better understanding the economic renewal. Firstly, it will help decision makers and industry toapply a more pro-active approach in innovation and innovation policy. Secondly, it significantly strengthens the small and fragmented academic field of innovation studies. Finally, the book creates awareness and improves knowledge of a wide range of aspects of innovation for business actors which are in support of developing their innovation activities.
