This study was designed to investigate the strategic plans inherent in nonprofit organizations. It explained how performance, based on programs and services provided, were enhanced by the implementation of a strategic planning strategy. The qualitative method was applied to a multiple case study and collective data revealed how strategic planning affected performance. Interviews of key personnel were conducted. Observations of key programs and services were performed, along with a review of published documents. This study utilized several techniques to track performance, which identified the evaluative criteria for strategic planning effectiveness. It also explained how compliance with the criteria resulted in more productive outcomes in nonprofit organizations' performance.
