This study investigates the impact of technological advances, primarily those of an organization's Intranet system, for human resource needs of employees. The Intranet is a tool utilized for its internal communication capabilities which is web-based and intended primarily for employees who work for the organization. The needs of those employees vary from one company to the next depending on specific goals and job responsibilities of the employees.

This concept was adapted and focused on further with the use of the company Intranet portal.
