This case study was conducted at a residential group home facility for mentally retarded/developmentally disabled clients. The participants of this study were one female and two males. Their ages varied. This writer met with the residents for art therapy sessions once a week for forty-five minutes to one hour. During the course of this study, this writer used horticultural based tasks along with art therapy techniques to create a holistic and therapeutic environment for the residents. Assigned projects/activities were developed by the therapist and before and after photos were taken to give examples of the development of the projects as the art therapy sessions occurred.
