521 $a 「大彌撒曲」是德國編舞家舒爾茲的代表作。結構取材自彌撒禮拜的儀式，音樂採用莫札特未完成的「安魂曲」、C小調慢板與賦格以及「聖體頌」裡的經文歌，同時也加入葛利果聖歌，以及一系列的當代作曲家如庫塔格、佩爾特等人的作品，再加上保羅‧西蘭的詩歌朗頌。舞者身著白色長袍詮釋「安魂曲」與「聖體頌」的合唱樂段，歌聲與舞姿在舞台上完美融合。莫札特的音樂是舒爾茲編舞的養份。整部芭蕾舞蹈作品充滿創意，在明亮與黑暗、口白與歌聲、音樂與舞蹈的對比之間，透過舞者與音樂／文學的對話，安撫亡者的靈魂，賜予活著的人生命的力量。
