Archaeogeophysical methods are increasingly being utilized as a non-invasive approach to delineate sub-surface patterning. Using these methods, a multi-instrument and multi-scalar survey at Battle Mound (3LA1) has resulted in the identification of numerous anomalies of cultural and natural origin. A multi-instrument approach enabled the combination of complementary survey instrumentation methods and technologies. A multi-scalar approach allowed for the surveying of features using a wide-area coverage model with medium sampling resolution along with a focus-area coverage model using tighter sampling densities and higher resolution. The wide-area coverage revealed several anomalies that are interpreted as possible clusters of rectangular and circular structures and associated features. The wide-area coverage also identified broad trends resulting from naturally occurring processes. The focus-area coverage informs about naturally occurring processes and provides a complementary and comparative dataset.
