Homeless youth have disproportional rates of systemic health concerns and dental disease. Barriers to dental care are prevalent within this population. Shout Clinic is one of few services that offer free dentistry to street youth in Toronto.

Volunteers felt academically unprepared for treating this population. They were concerned about guaranteeing follow-up care in light of scheduling inconsistencies. Clinical equipment compromised the delivery of certain procedures. Interprofessional communication at the clinic was minimal.
