A The purpose of the study was to investigate how coach's leadership behavioral styles influence team cohesion of college volleyball teams in Taiwan. The target population of this study included 88 Taiwanese colleges that have a volleyball team, many of which have male and female teams. The researcher randomly selected 22 volleyball teams from within these 88 Taiwanese colleges have a volleyball team.

There were three questionnaires utilized for data collection: A demographic survey, Leadership Scale for Sports (LSS), and The Group Environment Questionnaire (GEQ). The data received from the survey was analyzed using the Software Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) 16.0. Demographic variables, reliability analysis, multiple regression, and MANOVA analysis were conducted to evaluate the survey data.

The analysis of the results indicated the coach's training and instruction and autocratic behavior were the most important key elements to influence college volleyball athletes' team cohesion. Moreover, there were significant differences regarding leadership and team cohesion according to gender and the athletes who play in different positions.
