上個世紀八十年代中後期，河南省貧困鄉村的農民，因當時血漿經濟的興起，而捲入到有償獻血的浪潮中。由於血液安全失控，成千上萬的村民因此感染了愛滋病。本片深入感染高發村，看村民如何面對生活，而官員怎樣「處理」這些事實，同時記錄感染者團體和抗擊愛滋病專家高耀潔如何揭露真相、幫助村民。<<中原紀事>>是<<關愛>>系列片之一，講述發生在今日河南農村愛滋病的感人故事。
