(Producer) This videotape shows Dr.Yapko's work with a psychologist from Italy. Consuelo describes herself as feeling stuck, wanting to devote more time to writing but not being able to do it. After laying the groundwork for the ways that hypnosis can be used to help people become "unstuck," Dr. Yapko begins his session with Consuelo. A live session shown in real time, this therapeutic interaction is a teaching vehicle as well as demonstration. The addition of subtitles and commentary helps to further clarify the underlying themes addressed by Dr.Yapko and the way in which they are received at different junctures. At the close of the session, Consuelo expresses her belief that a positive change has taken place. And, indeed, at two-month follow-up, which is included on the tape, Consuelo has made progress toward her goal. Further follow-up shows that she has, in fact, completed a book, which is about to be published. The question-and-answer section at the end of the tape adds another dimension to the learning.
