Abstract Hispanic patients with diabetes who have neuropathic foot ulcers are at increased risk for nontraumatic, lower leg amputations. A look at the western suburb of Phoenix, AZ, revealed a gap in community resources for educating Hispanic people regarding foot care to prevent this serious complication. The Save My Feet program was developed to meet this important need. The goal of this project was to obtain feedback from community stakeholders to better understand the ability of the Save My Feet program to meet the educational needs of this population. The theoretical framework for the project included the health belief model and Pender's health promotion model, which were useful in explaining health behaviors. A total of 13 participants from 2 different groups of community stakeholders, including health care providers, patients, and diabetes experts, were asked to review the Save My Feet program and respond to a modified version of the Agree II instrument. Using the Agree II instrument scoring protocol, a quality score was calculated scaled resulting in the total percentage of the maximum possible domain score. The scale domain score was 100% from the formative evaluation and 98.36% from the summative evaluation. Minimal revisions, including typographical errors, were made based on the feedback from the summative evaluation. The value of improving patient care, patient education, and the interdisciplinary approach to integrating an evidence-based model to manage and treat neuropathic foot ulcers will impact social change in the community by improving the quality of life and decreasing the disease burden among Hispanic patients with diabetes. Healthcare providers, diabetes educators, and community leaders who serve programs for Hispanic patients with diabetes could benefit from the analysis of the Save My Feet program.
