It examines the historical development, policies, challenges, and opportunities of bilingual education, focusing on its impact on cultural preservation, economic growth, and regional integration. Special consideration is given to demographic shifts and governmental initiatives affecting the Xinjiang region. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on the influence of bilingual education in the promotion of economy within the context of BRI, which looks at the specific challenges and opportunities faced by English and Mandarin Chinese bilingual education programs, and how such education supports regional cultural integration and enhances intercultural dialogue along the BRI.Employing a comparative study of content-based instruction among other models in other regions, complemented by survey and interview studies of English-Chinese bilingual speakers, this thesis aims to identify the most effective approaches to enhance economic growth and cultural integration in Xinjiang through bilingual education, indicating a correlation between bilingual education and BRI initiatives and the critical role of language in enhancing connectivity and cultural innovation.
