張愛玲（1920-1995）為中國現代文學知名作家，中英文著譯皆豐。學界素來關注張愛玲中文的原創小說，方法多取自文學研究，重於對敘事、意象的細讀。張愛玲以中文譯出的翻譯小說，則鮮見完整的研究；張的翻譯風格及其與原創作品風格的關係，也未有全面討論。本論文以語料庫為基礎的翻譯風格研究為方法，望在現有的張愛玲風格研究中加入「中譯」的範疇，就其語言學特徵提出新見。具體而言，本論文基於四大類型的語料--張愛玲的中文原創小說、張愛玲譯自他人英文小說的中譯本、張愛玲自譯英文小說的中譯本以及他人翻譯張愛玲英文小說的中譯本，合共十二本著譯小說。論文應用語料庫為基礎的量化方法，利用十個語言學指標，對語料進行對比分析。十個指標包括相異詞比率、校正後相異詞比率（此二均代表詞彙多樣性）、平均句長、詞彙密度、句子結構、疊字、對數似然比、色彩鑲疊詞、狀聲詞和疊字量詞。論文據上述指標在四組語料的統計資料，附以文本實例，試描述張愛玲翻譯風格的語言學表徵，以及其在不同語料中的差異。研究結果表明，張愛玲的翻譯風格應分為翻譯他人小說風格與自譯風格討論。張愛玲翻譯他人小說與其中文原創小說的指標結果呈現顯著差異；自譯而成的中譯本與其中文原創小說則呈現高度相似。從中可見，張愛玲在翻譯他人小說與自譯時呈現不同的用字習慣，其翻譯風格可藉語料庫方法分而述之。研究亦發現，他人在中譯張愛玲英文原創小說時，會傾向模仿張愛玲中文原創小說的風格，出現形態相同的遣詞用字，表明「風格」的接受與傳播會發生在語言結構層面。綜此，本論文研究價值有三：其一，望能在前人基礎上，進一步確立語料庫方法對於翻譯風格研究的價值；其二，望能為張愛玲的翻譯風格提出一套有系統且有效的描述指標，供後續研究進一步分析與驗證；其三，望在敘事、意象為主的張愛玲風格研究外，表明語言結構特徵亦為風格的核心表現之一，且可被他人習得，令張愛玲風格得以存續。關鍵詞：張愛玲、語料庫語言學、語料庫翻譯風格研究.

520 3 $a Eileen Chang (Zhang Ailing, 1920-1995) was a prolific, well-acclaimed writer and translator in the history of modern Chinese literature. Prior research approached Chang's literature mainly from the perspectives of literary studies, and focalized her fictional works written in Chinese. These studies emphasized her signature narrative strategies and use of imagery, which have been widely accepted as the prominent features of Chang's literary style. Concurrent to Chang's fiction writing but less discussed in the existing scholarship was Chang's fiction translation. Through her life, Chang produced many translations of English-language fiction and habitually translated her own English fiction into Chinese. This part of Chang's creative output, the style thereof, and its relationship to Chang's literary style have not been examined systematically in research. The thesis fills this gap by discovering the linguistic features of Chang's translation using methods drawn from corpus-based translation studies, in the hope of renewing the understanding of Chang's literary style. The thesis is based on twelve works of Chang in four corpora - Chang's original Chinese fictional works, Chang's Chinese translations of English fictional works written by others, Chang's Chinese self-translations of her original English fictional works, and other translators' Chinese translations of Chang's original English fictional works. The corpus-based research uses ten linguistic indicators to compare and analyze the corpora. Ten indicators are type-token ratio, corrected type-token ratio (both representing lexical diversity), mean sentence length, lexical density, sentence structure, reduplication, log-likelihood ratio, color reduplication, onomatopoeia and quantifiers. These indicators are applied to the corpora analysis to generate statistics that reflect certain linguistic features of the each of the four corpora. The statistics are compared and read with textual examples to reveal the linguistic similarities and differences among the four corpora.The findings suggest that in terms of phrasal and syntactical structure, Chang's Chinese translations of others' fictional works differ from her self-translations, thus reflecting varieties within her translation style. The differences can be understood as a result of Chang's (dis)connection with her signature literary style, as when compared to her original fictional works, Chang's Chinese translations of others' fictional works show significant difference, while her self-translations show high similarity. Moreover, the statistics show a high level of similarity among Chang's original fictional works in Chinese, Chang's Chinese self-translations, and the Chinese translations of Chang's English fictional works done by others. The similarity suggests that not only Chang, but also the translators who rendered Chang's English fictional works into Chinese, tend to replicate some phrasal and syntactical features of Chang's original fictional works. The similarity indicates that the reception and reproduction of Chang's style can be observed at the level of lexical and syntactical structure - a level that is often overlooked in the studies of Chang. With the above efforts, the thesis aims to establish the value of corpus-based method to the study of translation style, to provide a set of effective indicators for further research on Chang's translation, and to evince that certain linguistic features are essential to Chang's style. These found linguistic features have been, and can be, acquired through translation to relive Chang's literary legacy.
