This dissertation examines the Eucharistic theology of the Presbyterian Church in Singapore (PCS) in comparison with that of John Calvin, exploring the historical, theological, and contextual factors that shape their theologies. The study situates both the PCS and Calvin's Eucharistic theology within the broader context of World Christianity, highlighting the pluriform, transnational, and polycentric nature of the sacrament. It reveals that Eucharistic theology is theologia prima et secunda, in via, in situ-a dynamic and evolving field where theory and practice continually being shaped by historical, cultural, and social contexts. The diverse expressions of Eucharistic theology within the PCS highlight the importance of understanding the theological, cultural, and historical forces at play, suggesting the emergence of Glocal Reformed Eucharistic Theologies. This emerging theology carefully reflects upon historic Reformed traditions while being responsive to the local and global realities of World Christianity. This dissertation calls on contemporary Reformed churches, including the PCS, to develop Eucharistic theologies that engage robust dialogue with historic traditions and local cultures while addressing the needs and realities of World Christianity. It also offers insights for Reformed churches seeking to reflect on their identities and navigate liturgical practices and theological diversity in an ever-changing global context.
