This dissertation examines the doctrinal preaching of Adrian Rogers while he served at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. Using 252 sermons, his preaching was examined through the lenses of genre, sermon structure, doctrinal content, and doctrinal approach. Herein, Rogers is presented as a person, partner in marriage, parent, president of the SBC, and preacher. This dissertation argues that Rogers communicated Scripture in a manner that was functionally, fundamentally, and systematically doctrinal.
