The family, as a fundamental unit of the Church, has immense potential to support the Church's mission of catechizing and passing on the faith to future generations. To fully realize this potential, the Church must support families in their formation to become "domestic churches" to contribute to the life of the Church and its evangelization. The project's purpose is to assist Chinese American Catholic parents in exploring and implementing concrete spiritual and sacramental practices found in the celebration of the Eucharist to form their domestic churches. The project's formation principles are based on the andragogical principles developed by Malcolm Knowles. Its overarching framework, Family Life to the Eucharist to Family Life, is inspired by Thomas H. Groom's catechistical framework: Life to Faith to Life. The project method employs mystagogical reflection on different elements of the Eucharistic celebration to guide parents in integrating Eucharistic spiritualities to form domestic churches. This faith formation project included six sessions: an introductory session followed by five mystagogical reflection sessions. Each reflection session focused on different elements of the Eucharistic celebration. The participants were guided through prayerful reflection to explore and integrate what they experienced in the Eucharistic celebration with their family lives. This journey invited them to transform their homes into spaces of prayer and peace, gratitude and sacrifice, communion and mission. The three surveys between sessions and the pre- and post-project surveys revealed the tremendous spiritual transformations that had taken place in the participants and their families. This demonstrates that the project, with thoughtful planning, a well-considered design, and concrete steps in execution, was highly successful and effective. The domestic church, rooted in and integrated with the Eucharistic spirituality, is the living extension of what is celebrated in the Sacred Mysteries, nourishing, transforming, and spreading the faith within the home and beyond.
