Immersive experiences have been on the rise in contemporary culture. Many designers rely on tools and proven creation strategies developed in adjacent disciplines such as film, architecture, and theatre to be successful. This document outlines these cross-disciplinary milestones for concept, design, and creation through those methods. There is an opportunity to create unique experiences with small teams through the democratization of these technologies in forms outside of large institutions like theme parks, museums, zoos and aquariums. It introduces qualitative research results for enhancing engagement and interpersonal connection during experiences. Additionally, these principles are demonstrated here through a case study.
