The purpose of this investigation was to provide a functional methodology to explore and analyze the text of Revelation for verbal and auditory features expected in an oral recitation of a text. This project involved exploring three large representative sections of the book, applying the same methodology in order to procure the data therein and reveal exegetical value for modern students. The data suggests that the book of Revelation was composed with the listening audience in mind, highlighting an important gap in scholarly research of John's Apocalypse. Additionally, several exegetical insights are revealed from exploring the book's aural- performance dimensions.
