The purpose of this quantitative correlational-predictive study was to examine to what extent (AIP) senior living residence and age predict older women's (QOL) with respect to their physical and psychological health and their social and environmental relationships in North Texas. Erikson's stages of psychosocial development and place identity theories guided the four RQs examining Age and Residence predictor variables for QOL. The target population was women, 65 years old and older aging in place (AIP) in North Texas. Data were collected (N = 74) from two senior activity centers in two North Texas communities-one supporting a longtime established home community and the second supporting an active adult retirement community (AARC). A demographic questionnaire collected the participants' age and AIP residence type, and the participants self-assessed four domains of their QOL using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. The MLR analyses revealed no age or residence statistical significance (p = .123) for Domain 1, although age and residence were significant predictors for Domain 2 (p = .030), Domain 3 (p = .014), and Domain 4 (p = .003). The Coefficients Tables revealed age was always negatively correlated with QOL, but only significantly so for Domain 3 (standardized Beta = -.252, p = .034). Residence was always a moderately positive predictor not significantly for Domain 1 with standardized Beta = -.232, p = .058 for Domain 1, standardized Beta = .321, p = .008 for Domain 2, standardized Beta = .309, p = .010 for Domain 3, and standardized Beta = .355, p = .003 for Domain 4.
