This qualitative research project aimed to explore the challenges early career teachers (ECTs) face and investigate how mentorship collaborations with veteran (VT) and retired teachers (RT) can help address these obstacles. Through thematic questionnaires, ECTs and experienced educators shared their lived experiences. The study focused on three key research questions: RQ1: How do the key characteristics of experienced teachers contribute to effectively elevating and empowering early career educators while fostering a supportive and empowering environment for both professional and personal growth?RQ2: What are the perceived impacts of experienced teachers' mentorship and collaboration on career trajectories and professional development?RQ3: In what ways can mentorship contribute to creating a more supportive and collaborative teaching environment within your school? The findings revealed that ECTs struggle with classroom management, emotional burnout, curriculum planning, and school culture adjustment. They expressed a strong need for continuous guidance and emotional support. Veteran and retired teachers, in contrast, emphasized the value of mentorship in sharing their expertise and supporting professional growth. For ECTs, mentorship offered practical strategies and emotional reinforcement. Veteran mentors found fulfillment in contributing to the development of newer educators. This study highlights the critical importance of mentorship in sustaining a career in teaching. By integrating emotional support and pedagogical guidance, mentorship can empower ECTs, providing them with the tools and confidence to navigate early career challenges. Simultaneously, it offers veteran educators and retired teachers (RT) a sense of professional satisfaction and fulfillment. Ultimately, the research underscores how mentorship collaborations can create a more supportive and sustainable teaching environment for both ECTs and their mentors.
