This dissertation explores the role of critical thinking (CT) skills and dispositions in forming intercultural business relationships. The research investigates how CT facilitates relationship development in cross-cultural settings, particularly in globalization and multicultural work environments, addressing a significant gap in the literature. The study employs a qualitative case study methodology, integrating interviews, focus group discussions, and organizational document analysis to gather data. Participants include professionals engaged in intercultural business relationships within the insurance sector. The research design leverages theoretical frameworks, including Ford's relationship development model and the APA Delphi framework on CT, to analyze data through lenses such as adaptability, commitment, and uncertainty reduction. Findings reveal that CT skills, such as analysis, evaluation, and reflective thinking, support key factors in relationship development, including improved adaptability and commitment. Similarly, CT dispositions, such as intellectual curiosity, self-awareness, and cognitive objectivity, facilitate experience, reduce cultural distance and uncertainty. The research underscores CT's pivotal role in navigating cultural complexities and enhancing business relationships, offering practical insights for global professionals and organizations.
