This quantitative study investigated the effects of Computerized-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) and Mindfulness-Based Mobile App (MBMA) on job stress and anxiety in active-duty military students. This study's goal was to learn how future soldiers respond to early therapeutic interventions prior to any combat exposure or diagnosis of PTSD. Two-hundred St. Leo University active-duty military students were randomly assigned to CCBT and MBMA, to reduce job stress and anxiety. Instruments used in this study were the MBI to measure job stress related to military duty pre and posttest and the BAI scale to measure anxiety. It was hypothesized; active duty military students receiving the CCBT are more likely to experience a reduction in job stress and anxiety than active duty military students receiving MBMA. Male active duty military students in both treatments are more likely to experience a reduction in job stress and anxiety compared to female active duty military students. Caucasian active duty military students in both treatments are more likely to experience a reduction in job stress and anxiety compared to African American active duty military students. Results concluded that both groups experienced equally healthy clinical benefits, job stress and anxiety were reduced equally across gender in both treatment groups, Caucasians experienced an 11 percent reduction in job stress compared to African Americans and participants who identified as Marine experienced a 15 percent reduction in job stress.
