Renewable energy sources gained highlight in the past years. The United Nations launched the Sustainable Development Goals to push governments towards green initiatives and the International Energy Agency launched the roadmap to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Also, several countries created their own roadmaps to lower their green-house emissions. This dissertation focuses on "Green Hydrogen", since it uses renewable sources, like solar and wind, for its production. Although hydrogen is not an energy source by itself, it is a very effective way to store, transport and deploy energy, and it makes renewable energy more competitive. Thus, having a great potential to contribute to a more sustainable and circular economy. We implement a quantitative analysis on all the scientific production about the green hydrogen thematic until the end of 2022 and its progress. The presented work delivers the most promising technological trajectories in the field, highlighting China, Germany, Japan, South Korea and USA as the leading geographies, Japanese institutions as leading institutions in knowledge creation and some interesting interdisciplinary collaborations between institutions. Although the evolving trends focus on production methods' efficiency, the remain challenges focus on the technology efficiency.
