Bioelectronics represent a paradigm shift in in clinical treatment and interface devices for diagnostic purposes, but have been held back by materials constraints and biocompatibility issues with classical electronic devices. This body of works address those limitations by developing organic electronics for the purpose of brain computer interfacing and ultimately clinical use. The limitations of organic electronics include low speed, poor scalability, and a performance imbalance between N and P type materials. We address these issues as well as low voltage operation, biosensing, and sterilizability to create stable high performance organic electronics for use in clinical and research operations. These developments create a new standard of technology which can be used as a building block in the creation of further integrated circuits in organic electronics.
