According to increasing data, participation in extracurricular activities had been associated with favorable results for high school students over the past few decades. Extracurricular activities frequently offered a rich environmental background for optimal youth development. They offered chances for identity formation, developing interpersonal relationships, and enhancing social, emotional, intellectual, and career-related abilities. Nevertheless, this research investigated the connection between extracurricular sports participation and post-high school student outcomes. The current study also examined how former students view extracurricular sports' contribution to their success beyond high school. Given the increased academic and financial obligations placed on students, this study aimed to evaluate how extracurricular sports improved student achievement after graduation. The results showed that students benefited from these life skills long after high school. The benefits students derived from extracurricular sports participation were not significantly different, but these variations corresponded to the relationships between extracurricular involvement and academic results. In conclusion, this study suggested that school districts should encourage more students to participate in extracurricular sports. Significant correlations had been found between extracurricular sports participation and its benefits for students' post-graduation achievement. Furthermore, methods for teaching and implementing life skills to motivate students to participate in extracurricular sports activities were also noted.
