The purpose of this paper was to investigate the existence of racial discrimination against immigrant working women (IWW) in the United States. The paper presents research context and research questions, along with participants' descriptions, backgrounds, and their roles in the research. An effective action research approach was applied in the investigation. Cycle 1 results reveal the existence of racial discrimination and the factors and categories contributing to it. Quotes from participants' experiences are presented in different sections of the paper as they are relevant to the research. Cycle 2 presents action steps, consisting of participants' needs assessment survey results, and shares extensive phone conversations with participants about workplace issues related to their experiences with racial discrimination. The teamwork with the external HR expert is presented because it is relevant to improving the workplace experiences of participants. Cycle 2 results relate the implementation of an HR advocacy protocol with categories that are needed to improve and change participants' workplace experiences. The literature review presents support for research findings as relevant to the investigative criteria. The relationship of the literature to the investigation is explored in the contextualization section of the paper. The study concludes with actions for participants that would improve their workplace situations. In-depth research presents the existence of racial discrimination against IWW and vast literary evidence. The implications for the organization present the significance of the study for the participants and the broader aspect of continued work toward the ethical and fair treatment of IWW.
