Chinese smartphone brands have been dominating the Indian market. Because the Indian smartphone market is one of the largest markets in the world and has high growth potential, there was fierce competition between Chinese and non-Chinese smartphone brands (Samsung, Apple, local Indian brands, etc.). The problem is the dominance of Chinese smartphone manufacturers in the Indian market. According to the study, Indians prefer mid to low-priced smartphones.Qualitative multiple case studies were conducted on 10 smartphone brands, and in-depth and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 participants. NVivo and thematic analysis were used to analyze collected data and answer the research questions. As a result of in-depth interviews, the key factor that helped Chinese smartphone brands gain an advantage in the Indian market was competitive pricing. Product sales technology, customization and localization, and rapid distribution network construction were other factors. To be competitive in the Indian smartphone market, managers need to understand the characteristics of the Indian market through competitive pricing, diverse product lineup, innovative technology and design, marketing and branding, improved customer service and support, and localized products and services. Future researchers are encouraged to conduct quantitative and qualitative research targeting Indian smartphone consumers to analyze Indian consumers' behavioral habits, smartphone brand preferences, technological infrastructure, Indian government policies, and consumers' subjective beliefs to determine the Indian smartphone industry. It would provide insight into the current status and prospects.
