The goal of this clinical application is to educate Christian faith leaders on migration specific traumas experienced by those seeking asylum from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala and highlight the unique position of Christian faith leaders to bolster the inherent resiliency of this population. Due to the various traumas experienced during pre-, peri-, and post-migration and the asylum process in the United States, many forced migrants rely on their faith as a motivator, which acts as a salient protective factor. By equipping Christian faith leaders with an overview of the various contexts and traumas of those seeking asylum, they can better activate their own communities to support asylum seekers. A review of the available literature about asylum seekers from the Northern Triangle was conducted. From this literature review, a psychoeducational resource, On the Outside Looking In, was developed. In an expert review of the resource, most of the experts noted the resource was needed and provided a useful introduction to the immigration crisis. Several critiques were offered to further improve the accessibility and efficacy of the resource.
