Tactical Urbanism, as defined by Lydon & Garcia (2015), was explored in this study. The focus was on rejuvenating the North Core District of Downtown Jacksonville, Florida, near the Rosa Parks Bus Transit Station. The research sought to understand and utilize tactical urbanism strategies to transform inactive urban spaces, impacting new business establishment, job creation, economic growth, community attraction, and overall community well-being. To investigate these aspects, on-site observations, case studies, surveys, and geographic information systems were utilized to document interventions and assess their short-term and potential long-term impacts. Findings revealed that while tactical urbanism offered benefits, it also had some weaknesses. The interventions, while typically temporary, might not have fully addressed the underlying systemic issues, potentially falling short of offering enduring solutions to complex challenges such as homelessness. Additionally, there was a risk of gentrification and displacement, as successful tactical interventions could attract investment and impact low-income residents. The study aimed to expand and provide a more in-depth explanation of its research.The study's findings were drawn from multiple site visits, the gathering of photographs, and survey responses, serving as the basis for crafting detailed sketch designs.
