This book offers multidisciplinary perspective on the dynamic process of aging proposing strategies for developing more functional ageing societies. Gathering revised and expanded papers presented at the 3rd Congress of the Interdisciplinary Research Unit "On Building Functional Ageing Communities", organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, this book addresses the multidimensional aspects of sustainability in aging, exploring the environmental, health, social, economic, political, and cultural dimensions.
