She is the author of six academic books and numerous articles on subjects such as narrative theory, posthumanism, science fiction, Dickens, and Victorian culture. She is author of Bloodscripts: Writing the Violent Subject (2003), Narrative Space and Time: Representing Impossible Topologies in Literature (2014) and Science Fiction, Alien Encounters, and the Ethics of Posthumanism: Beyond the Golden Rule (2014), and the editor of The Palgrave Handbook of Global Fantasy (2022). Simon Bacon is an independent scholar based in Poznań, Poland. He has written and edited 25+ books including Becoming Vampire (2017), The Gothic: A Reader (2018), Eco-vampires (2019), The Anthropocene and the Undead (2022), Nosferatu in the 21st Century (2023), 1000 Vampires on Screen (2 volumes, 2023), The Palgrave Handbook of the Vampire (2024), and The Palgrave Handbook of the Zombie (forthcoming).
