This book sheds light on the new wave of inequality sparked by the digital revolution. Bringing together an international range of perspectives, it examines phenomena such as the increasing use of AI in real-world decision-making, the algorithmic spread of misinformation, erosion of rights under digital labor and the platform economy, inequalities in cybersafety, and Big Data collection practices, and seeks to develop solutions for a more equitable technological landscape. The authors argue that greater understanding is vital for grasping these disparities' impact on contemporary society and make a case for public policies that better address these issues to ensure equal access to technology for all. Oscar Pérez de la Fuente is Associate Professor of Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy of Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain. Jedrzej Skrzypczak is Head of the Department of Media Systems and Media Law, Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland.
