Through an interdisciplinary approach that combines insights from finance, technology, and regulation, this book provides a comprehensive understanding of the potential impact of blockchain technology on financial compliance and inclusion in Malaysia and Singapore. In doing so, the book examines real-world challenges and innovative solutions which contributes to scholarly discourse and informs policymaking efforts in the region. It does so by focusing on three key areas: Regulatory Compliance, Shariah Compliance in Islamic Finance, and Financial Inclusion. Dr. Thong Ming Sen is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and his area of expertise is in capital markets law, blockchain technology, and FinTech regulation. He was part of a team of researchers who were the first to report on regulatory issues in the blockchain space in Malaysia. He holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London as well as a Master of Laws (LLM) (Distinction) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in law from University Malaya.
