No woman intentionally becomes pregnant just to have an abortion. Instead, for many female teenagers who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant, abortion may be the only option if they choose not to carry the pregnancy to term. This study explored the influence of the Buddhist concept of karma on the attitudes of Thai Buddhist practitioners toward women's rights and bodily and reproductive health in the context of adolescent abortion. Its main objective was to determine whether Thai Buddhist practitioners support or oppose teen abortion. Data were collected through an anonymous online questionnaire and analyzed using a mixed-methods research design. Social media platforms facilitated the distribution, capturing the views of the Thai Buddhist community on the karmic implications of teenage abortion. Non-probability sampling methods, including snowball and convenience sampling, were employed to obtain responses from a diverse group of respondents. The data were processed using SPSS Statistics for thorough analysis and efficient data management. This study employed the frameworks of sociologist Emile Durkheim and Thai Buddhist feminist activist Ouyporn Khuankaew to examine the influence of Buddhist teachings on Thai practitioners' perspectives on teenage abortion.
