Current literature suggests that multiracial individuals and monoracial Asian American women endorse negative body image more than other monoracial groups. This shows a gap in the current literature in the understanding of how biracial Asian American women may experience and conceptualize their body image. This qualitative study intends to explore the experiences and conceptualization of body image by biracial Asian American women. Results of the study highlighted the following salient themes: Navigating biracial identity, What Makes a Beautiful Woman?, What Should I Look Like?, and Learning to Embrace Myself. Implications for practice and research are also discussed.
