The research investigated the level of support that consumers in the United States have for the shift to renewable energy. The study made use of primary data gathered through a Qualtrics survey. The findings of the study indicate that the willingness of individuals to pay for green energy initiatives is influenced by a wide variety of political, social, and economic issues. In contrast to what many people believed, elderly people were not willing to pay for green energy initiatives. In general, the findings of the study indicate that stakeholders can expedite the transition to a future with sustainable energy by ensuring that all individuals may reap the benefits of economic prosperity and social justice. The study recommends educational campaigns, the development of incentive programs for investments in renewable energy, and the formation of partnerships between agencies as ways of improving willingness to pay for green energy initiatives.
